EU COMPANY MISSION WITH BROKERAGE EVENT: NIGERIA


In 2016, the European Commission's largest business support network, the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) expanded their operations to Nigeria. To celebrate this growth, the EEN team at London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), in partnership with EEN Nigeria and the EU delegation in Nigeria, is launching the first EU company mission combined with a brokerage event in Lagos.

The brokerage event and company mission will bring together companies from several EU countries and will run concurrently with the EU Delegation's sixth annual EU Nigeria Business Forum (EUNBF), scheduled to take place from Thursday 5 to Friday 6 October 2017.  The forum brings together high-profile speakers from the Nigerian government, the private sector and the EU to showcase the business opportunities emerging in Nigeria. The audience will be made up of over 500 guests from the Nigerian business community, local stakeholders, government departments and bi-lateral embassies.

MEXICO: ONE-TO-ONE BUSINESS CLINICS


Mexico is the second largest economy in Latin America, with a higher GDP per capita than any of the BRIC countries. It boasts powerful, global cities with different sector hubs making it an ideal investment and trade hub. Mexico offers an abundance of business opportunities across various industry sectors. With a population of over 120 million and a growing middle class, there is a huge market for British goods, which is about the same size as the whole of Western Europe.

EXECUTIVE CLUB LUNCH WITH COAST TO CAPITAL

The Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) takes a strategic lead in ensuring the growth of its area which includes the London Borough of Croydon and extends down to Brighton.  

 

A key priority is better transport and connectivity for the region, and, in particular Coast to Capital is lobbying government for the upgrade of the Brighton Mainline. This critical commuter route requires significant and ongoing investment from Network Rail, as well as commitment from Government to fund it. As Chief Executive, Jonathan Sharrock is responsible for delivering the LEP's business plan to transform business and economic performance in the region. Join us to hear more about this important campaign and the positive impact for Croydon.

COMPANY MISSION TO VIETNAM: HO CHI MINH CITY AND HANOI


Vietnam is one of the most vibrant economies in Asia, with a large market for capital goods and a growing domestic market for consumer goods. It has an ambitious programme of major infrastructure developments including new urban railway networks, a new international hub airport and expansion of regional airports.

The food and beverage sector is considered among the rising sectors in Vietnam, thanks to its 95 million emerging market population and its fast GDP growth over several years (6.21% in 2015, 6.68% in 2014). Vietnamese consumers are shifting towards consumption of beverages with higher value, creating gaps for penetration to high-end beverage segments. Though both local and foreign players have attempted to respond to this shift, overseas companies currently enjoy the edge because Vietnamese consumers favour international brands.
